What a great stay, great location in the centre of a lovely village. Old traditional english hotel with beams and wooden floors. The food was fab and the service brilliant as the staff were really friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay again and recommend.

Good Points: Conveniently situated in the centre of the town. Cosy accommodation, very comfortable bed.
Bad Points: Bathroom was not as well maintained as I would have liked - mould on sill surrounding shower tray, strong smell of damp inside shower. No mirror in bedroom resulting in me standing in the bathroom in order to blowdry my hair - not ideal!!
General review: Staff at the hotel very friendly, very good breakfast in the morning, as noted above, conditions within bathroom need to be improved upon and a mirror in the bedroom is in my opinion a necessity.

Good Points: Wonderful building and location. Friendly Staff. It is a fun place to stay and is wonderfully informal. The view of the sqaure from the room was especially nice.
Bad Points: Smoking in the bar (although not allowed during mealtime). Would be nice to limit it to part of the room and improve ventilation.
General Review: The hotel is in an excellent loaction and lives up to it's 500 year old moniker.

Good Points: Good location; Full of character
Bad Points: Steep stairs - Large furniture in small room!
General Review: Good food; Great character; Friendly staff, Great location Residents car park is available and this would have been useful to have known prior to arrival. We had a great stay, and would return ...
